Filmmaker Deepa Sahi is working on a 3D version of the 1975 classic Sholay and says the action sequence they have converted thus far are looking promising.

"We are doing Sholay in 3D. My studio is working on it. It's a very exciting project. I saw some parts that we have already finished, they are looking awesome. I saw Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra's train sequence, firing bullets — it is in 3D and it is looking great," Sahi said.

Directed by Ramesh Sippy, Sholay set a milestone in Indian cinema.

Sahi, who made her acting debut with Govind Nihalani's 1984 movie Party, is not sure how long it will take them to finish the 3D conversion, as they have completed only 12 minutes of the 204-minute action thriller.
