Salman Khan to host a show on History channel

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has proved his metal as a host on small screen with popular reality shows like Dus Ka Dum and Bigg Boss. Now the actor will grab in eyeballs for the factual entertainment channel History. The actor is expected to host a show for the channel.

The channel informs that the format of the show to which Salman will be associated with is yet-to-be-revealed. Salman said in a press statement on Tuesday, “The Indian TV audience today has evolved. They are very demanding and look for a mix of differentiated programs for their daily dose of entertainment. History channel, with its unexpected take on the subject, is sure to whet the audience's appetite for more of its kind."

History, originally based in US is being brought to us to India by AETN-18, a joint venture between A + E Networks and TV 18. Ajay Chacko, the president of AETN-18, says that Salman is the best fit as the channels face. The actor's popularity across all age groups and genders, his style, trends, versatility, fun, etc perfectly fits History channel's brand personality list.

The channel is aiming on changing the perception about the word History and the channel History. The channel authorities plan to change and launch in a new History channel which will have action and adventure. It will showcase people who make history everyday and with Salman's association they are expecting to make the genre popular in India and across the world.
