Rishi Kapoor seeks help from aunties

PATIALA HOUSE features Rishi Kapoor (Bauji) as an authoritarian head of the big Punjabi family, whom the entire household is afraid of. Being played the character of a Punjabi man of South Hall London Rishi Kapoor wanted to leave no room in the authenticity of the Punjabi language he speaks.
A close hand reveals, “The Punjabi he speaks to Ranbir and Neetu at home is very young and contemporary. Rishi being a professional did not find his dialect very up to the mark as a hard core Punjabi man would normally speak. Thus he decided to go take help of all his aunts and learn the authentic Punjabi dialect and accent. He wanted to learn the old style of Punjabi which olden people used to speak.”
The close hand further added, “Only after he had done with his home work and was completely prepared, he started shooting for the film. No wonder his performance is always a reflection of his hard work!”
Producer Bhushan Kumar says, “The veteran actor Rishi Kapoor is most famous for his professionalism and that reflects his performance in all his films. As Bauji, in PATIALA HOUSE he has done a great job and naturally that credits to his hard work and focus.”
