The sleek and smart robot of Rajnikant will visit India for the promotion of the film Endhiran. It is an android used extensively in the film and is made to look like Rajini.
However, it’s not so easy to bring Chitti (android’s name in the film) to India as it will cost crores to the makers. Director Shankar says about the plans, “Yes, we are planning to fly down the android to India for our promotional activities.”
Chitti can sing, dance, act, and talk. So, it can also give interviews. Currently Chitti is in the Stan Winston Studio in California. In the film, the android is shown falling in love with Aishwarya Rai. Androids are robots with human appearance and are mainly used in Hollywood’s science fiction films. This is the first time it has been used in an Indian film.
Made on an approximate budget of Rs 150 crores, Endhiran is also one of the most expensive films to come out from India. It will release worldwide in three languages (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi) with 2250 prints on October 1.
