Singer Mick Jagger says watching the band One Direction reminds him of his younger days with his own band the Rolling Stones.

Jagger, 69 says his band, which consists of Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts and him, was treated in much the same way as the British band One Direction is treated today.

One Direction is a five-member band consisting of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik.

“I watched a concert of One Direction on the TV the other night. It reminded me very much of our early concerts, when we were pushed around among the audience and we would kind of float. They were, like, floating above the audience, and they looked like, really distinctly uncomfortable,” CNN quoted him as saying.

“I remember feeling that same uncomfortable feeling of being pushed around in this very weird place about 50 years ago. It was a very funny moment, because it was very similar to the things we’ve been through,” he added.
