No Problem' has SHAKY start, 'BBB' starts SLOW

Yet another biggie, helmed by a reputed director, started on a tepid note on Friday. Given Anees Bazmee's track record [three solid hits in a row - NO ENTRY, WELCOME, SINGH IS KINNG], one expected NO PROBLEM to fetch a flying start at the ticket window. The terrific promotions and the tried-and-tested genre should've ensured a bumper start for the film, mainly at single screens. The two masala entertainers, DABANGG and GOLMAAL 3, had started with a bang at plexes as well as single screens, but NO PROBLEM started on a 25% to 30% to 40% note, which sent shock waves across the industry. What makes matters worse is the negative word of mouth and outright negative reviews of the film.

BAND BAAJA BAARAAT, starring a new lead man and helmed by a first-time director, but produced by a reputed production house [Yash Raj], also embarked on a poor start everywhere. While the plexes were in 20% range, the single screens were worse, with 10% occupancy at places. But the positive [audience] feedback and glowing reviews sure ensure an escalation in business over the weekend.
