Laura Linney was to return to Broadway's Time Stands Still on Tuesday night for the first time since her father's death.
Romulus Linney, a prolific playwright, died on Saturday in upstate New York.
The actress dropped out of the play over the weekend. She wasn't on hand to accept her Golden Globe award on Sunday night for her role on The Big C.
Linney returns for the final weeks of Time Stands Still, which closes January 30. The play also stars Brian d'Arcy James, Eric Bogosian and Christina Ricci.
