Roped in for a whopping amount

It turned out to be an expensive affair for the Bigg Boss 4 makers to get The Great Khali, the only Indian name in the WWE circuit, for the telly show.

It’s believed that Khali has been roped in for a whopping amount of Rs 50 lakhs and would make approx Rs 40-50 lakhs per week, which depends on how long he manages to stay in the Bigg Boss house.

However, Bigg Boss has already declared that the wrestler is safe from eviction. The channel Colors which airs Bigg Boss, and the company Endemol that produces the show, both are not willing to divulge any details about who’s is getting how much.

As per sources, the participants have been paid a signing amount to be in the show and then they are paid additionally per week as long as they survive in the house. The amount ranges from Rs 2 to Rs 25 lakhs depending on the popularity and the market rate of the celebrity. Housemates like Rahul Bhatt or Sameer Soni will earn less in comparison to the Manoj Tiwari or Shweta Tiwari, who manage to get Rs 5 lakh per week because of their market value. The weekly payment for other participants ranges from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.

So much for Khali, but the buzz is on that he will leave the house soon. A situation will be created which will result in his exit. Moreover, the WWE star has also a movie release lined up for the next month. Khali will be seen in Ramaa - The Saviour.
