If the henna tattoo on his hand was not enough, British comedian Russell Brand came riding a horse, like a true-blue Indian prince, to wed the American singer Katy Perry at the luxurious Aman-e-Khan resort in Rajasthan on Saturday.

A cover of tight security and black screens prevented the paparazzi from peeping into the wedding ceremony. But agency reports claim it was as exotic as an Indian wedding could get. There were snake charmers, fire-eaters, elephants, and dancers who performed to the accompaniment of the vedic chants and Indian classical music.

According to the dailymail.co.uk, the groom arrived on horseback - escorted by elephants and camels. The mandap was erected in a large pavilion tent, which was strung with orange, red and yellow ribbons. The venue was also decorated with marigold garlands.

Earlier, the guests were treated to a safari into the nearby Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Brand himself went on a safari and later told the media that he spotted a tiger.
