Taking time out from the shooting schedule of Yashraj’s film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, which is being shot in Chandigarh, Dehradun and Mussourie, the film’s lead actress Katrina Kaif headed to Haridwar for a holy dip in the Ganges river.
Katrina’s visit was kept hush-hush to avoid any security situation. The lady was reportedly dressed in a salwar-kameez and had her head and face covered with a dupatta, which is not uncommon in that part of India.
From what we hear, the actress went to one of the ghats for the holy dip and later even had the darshan of a deity in a temple. Reportedly, the priest blessed her and suggested her to participate in the maha aarti which is held in the evening on the ghats by scores of priests together.
Born to a Christian mother and Muslim father, Katrina is a woman of secular mindset. She has visited holy places of other religions as well in the past.
