It can be really awkward to bump into your ex-flame - Shahid Kapoor had a similar moment with Kareena Kapoor The former lovers were present for rehearsals at a recent awards function when their paths crossed backstage.
Kareena was walking with her friend Lovely Singh and secretary Zahid while Shahid was coming from the opposite direction. While witnesses saw Kareena spot him from a distance, she pretended not to have seen Shahid and headed straight past her former boyfriend, almost as if he didn’t exist. Shahid, on the other hand, was a little preoccupied and by the time he realised it was Kareena, she had already walked past. But he couldn’t resist turning back to look at her.
A sousrce informs, “Kareena was scheduled to perform at the event and had just finished her rehearsals. Kareena decided to take a walk backstage while Shahid (who was also hosting a segment) was making his way towards the same area. Kareena looked like she didn’t notice him, but Shahid was quite surprised to see her.”
Adds another source, “It is sad to see that they can’t even exchange a polite hello, though they were once in a relationship. Neither of them has come clean on the reasons for the break-up. But even Kareena’s manager Zahid, who once also managed Shahid, didn’t feel the need to exchange any pleasantries with him.”
