Veteran Bollywood director Yash Chopra, who redefined romance on Indian cinema screen, feels that Salman Khan starrer Dabangg had nothing new to offer.

The 78-year-old filmmaker, known for his romantic movies like Waqt, Kabhi Kabhie, Silsila, Chandni and Veer-Zaara, feels that Indian cinema should not be used merely a tool of important entertainment

"I did not like Dabangg. What was new in that film? It was an old fashioned movie but it was such a huge success. Personally, I wasn't able to understand the logic behind the blue! important movie," said Chopra, who was here to unveil the new logo of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

The director said: "Indian cinema is really big and is excelling like anything. It has so much to offer other than the entertainment quotient. It's role has become big and more responsible
