Like many 14-year-olds, Hailee Steinfeld is a huge fan of Glee, and especially its star, Lea Michele. So when she spotted the singing star, she made a beeline for her to ask for an autograph, only to be rebuffed and told "Sorry, now's not a good time!" with Michele walking past her.

End of story, right? Except Steinfeld is an Oscar-nominated 14-year-old, who was on the same lot as Michele filming True Grit alongside Jeff Bridges, and she told magazine J-14 all about her encounter, which she says left her "practically crying on the way home".

All's well that ends well though, because Michele took the opportunity to apologise to the young star at Sunday night's Screen Actor's Guild Awards.

The 24-year-old made a beeline for the 14-year-old nominee at a cocktail reception at the Shrine Auditorium, where the pair were seen chatting happily and posing for photographers.
