Due to protests for its theme

Even though Sanjay Sharma's Dunno Y...Na Jaane Kyun is garnering praises and applause internationally for its controversial subject, back home it has invited the ire of the youth unit of a right wing party, who are sending threats to the makers of the film given its bold subject of portraying homosexual relationship.

The actors have also been getting threatening mails over the last week warning them with dire consequences if the gay film was released. And because of those threats, the film which was supposed to release this Friday, the makers have been forced to postpone the film next week for a Diwali release!

The makers of the film are concerned about the security and concerns of their stakeholders and partners of the film.

Though the film is about the multi-layered emotional conflict in an Anglo Indian Family, it is Bollywood first mainstream film that tackles gender issues and biases against gays. Gay Activists who have seen the film are unanimous that unlike other films like Dostana etc, which is more of a parody on gays.

Though two biggies Golmaal 3 and Action Replayy release around the same time as Dunno Y. But the makers are confident as the film is being favoured by distributors because of its genre.
