The plot Pixar is back with its beloved bunch of car-toons! The second instalment of Cars promises to be even more fun and exciting, so fasten your seat belts for the sequel, which sees Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) and tow truck Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) gear up to hit the fast lane on the international racing circuit, when they go up against the world's fastest cars in the World Grand Prix. But the road to the championship is filled with potholes and detours, as Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own - a bit of international espionage! Divided over whether to help McQueen in the race or embark on a top-secret spy mission, Mater takes the lead in this action-packed journey through the vibrant by-ways of Japan and Europe.
What we liked The cars' confusion over different traffic rules as they travel through Europe and Japan is hilarious.
What we didn't like If you've seen the first, you'd pretty much figure out the second. There are no surprises here, and some chases appear too similar.
