On Friday, at the launch of the coffee table book called Chehre by celebrity photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha, Rekha and Jaya Bachchan sent shutterbugs into a tizzy when they hugged and chatted in front of everyone.
The two former actresses, known to have cold vibes for each other ever since Amitabh Bachchan was linked with Rekha decades back, showed no awkwardness while greeting each other at the function held in Mumbai.
It was Rekha who approached Jaya and hugged her and gave her a perfunctory peck on the cheek. Jaya responded back with equal warmth.
The book launch was attended by a lot of celebs like Asha Bhosle, Kajol, Hema Malini and Padmini Kolhapure. But it was the bonding between Rekha and Jaya that became the talk of the event.
Just last year, Rekha had approached the entire Bachchan family at Filmfare Awards. She had hugged Abhishek, Aishwarya and before she could reach Amitabh, the superstar had walked away.
