The fifth installment in the 'Die Hard' franchise, 'A Good Day To Die Hard', marks the first time a Hollywood film will be released with a Punjabi version. Also, it has been 25 years since the first film in the franchise introduced audiences to John McClane (played by Bruce Willis in all the films), an ordinary man who was forced by circumstances to attempt extraordinary tasks, making him one of Hollywood's most enduring characters.

The Fox Star Studios film has roped in Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal to dub for Jack (Jai Courtney), John's estranged son. Gippy, one of Punjab's most loved singers, rose to fame from his record-breaking single Phulkari, making his acting debut in the 2010 movie — Mel Karade Rabba. Angreji Beat, his song featuring Yo Yo Honey Singh, was a smash hit across India and was even part of the Saif Ali Khan-starrer Cocktail's score. Of the collaboration, Gippy says, "I am a huge fan of the franchise and loved the idea of this film being dubbed in Punjabi. I enjoyed dubbing for the film." Confirming the association, says Mr. Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, "Gippy voices one of the leading characters in Die Hard 5. He has a powerful emotive connect with audiences up North and the Punjabi audiences will be able to connect with the film even more strongly because of his association! The response to the trailer in Punjabi has been phenomenal and we have huge expectations from the film." A Good Day To Die Hard opens in theatres and IMAX in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi on February 22
