Deepika Padukone's Dum Maro Dum skirt will now prove useful for charity. The skirt worn by her in the song in Rohan Sippy's forthcoming film by the same name is up for auction at a charity event. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Salman Khan's NGO, Being Human.
"Rohan Sippy came up with the idea of auctioning it online, through the film's official website with support being provided by a portal that auctions film memorabilia. The beneficiary was discussed and the choice was unanimous-Being Human. They feel it has been carrying out some exceptional charity work," revealed a close source.
One may ask why her skirt is being sold? "On a nationwide tour, the DMD team discovered that while the track is being criticised, there is excitement over the costume that she wears in the video. There is a huge demand for it," the source revealed.
