After months of strife, the best of Egypt in 2010 were honoured this week at a glittering ceremony in Cairo at the seventh Dear Guest Awards.
Organised by English bi-monthly Dear Guest, the evening saw some of the country's biggest stars, businessmen and entertainers being recognised for their contribution to their respective fields.
Egyptian actors Ahmad Helmy and Ghada Adel walked away with Best Actor and Best Actress awards respectively, while singing group Allowama was awarded the best band of 2010. Other winners included Angham for best singer, Mustafa Sha'aban for Best TV Actor and Heba Magdy for Best TV Actress.
The winners were chosen via votes on the magazine's website.
