Actress Cynthia Nixon and her partner have had a baby boy, her publicist told People magazine on Tuesday.
Nixon's partner, Christine Marinoni, gave birth to a son on Monday. The couple have named him Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni.
"Christine and baby are doing great," Nixon's publicist told the celebrity magazine.
Nixon, 44 and Marinoni, an education worker, have been dating since 2004 and announced their engagement in 2009.
Nixon, best-known for playing workaholic lawyer Miranda in Sex and the City, has two children from a former marriage.
