Calling all cricket fans. The Celebrity Cricket League will kick off in Sharjah on January 13 with a match between Mumbai Heroes, captained by Suniel Shetty, and Telugu Warriors. The action is far from over. The next day, the Mumbai Heroes will take on Chennai Rhinos.

"The preparations are in place and the Mumbai Heroes are in gear to take on the Telugu Warriors and Chennai Rhinos. This win is essential for us, as it marks our redemption from last season," said Salman Khan in a statement.

Though Khan will not play in the second season of CCL due to his continuing medical problems, he's the face and an ardent supporter of Mumbai Heroes. He was in Dubai last month to announce Sharjah Cricket Stadium as one of its gaming venues.

The line-up, which was revealed in Hyderabad this weekend, includes an array of Bollywood stars.

While Shetty will captain the Mumbai Heroes team, actor Riteish Deshmukh will act as its vice captain. The players on their side include team owner Sohail Khan, Sonu Sood, Bobby Deol, Aftab Shivdasani, Mahesh Manjrekar and Apurva Lakhia. Cheering them from the sidelines are cheerleaders Sonakshi Sinha, Genelia Dsouza and Kangana Ranaut.

Meanwhile, the South Indian teams are no less star-studded. The Telugu Warriors will be led by South Indian idol Venkatesh. The Chennai Rhinos is will see Abbas as its captain and has stars such as Surya on its side. Actresses Sameera Reddy and Amla Paul will provide ample support off the field.
