The bail of Bollywood actor John Abraham was extended on Monday in the rash driving case in which he was sentenced to 15-days’ imprisonment last month.

The sessions court in Mumbai extended the actor’s bail and adjourned the matter till November 17 in the case that dates back to the April of 2006 when John had an accident on his bike in which two cycle riders were injured.

John’s lawyer had filed an appeal against the conviction on October 29. Now, the court has given time to the prosecution to frame a reply to the appeal by John’s lawyer.

In another development, the Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the conviction of the former actress Monica Bedi in the fake passport case. However, the apex court reduced the sentence to the imprisonment already undergone by the actress.

Monica has served two years and six months of imprisonment.[/img]
