Bollywood actress Gul Panag had a horrible time running for Delhi Half Marathon on Sunday.
Gul alleges that before the start of the marathon when she was in the crowd of 400 odd participants, a few runners took advantage of the melee and groped her. Since there was pushing and shoving going on, Gul couldn’t spot exactly who the gropers were.
“It’s the women-in-crowded-place syndrome and typical of Delhi - grope,” Gul is quoted as saying by a tabloid.
Quite graciously, Gul didn’t back out of the event and completed the marathon in 2 hours 20 minutes. She also did not file any police complaint because she could never spot the gropers in the crowd.
Gul said she has participated in other marathons as well, but this has happened to her for the first time, that too in Delhi.
Other Bollywood actresses Bipasha Basu and Urmila Matondkar also attended the event. But they did not run. They only cheered from the stands.
