Toy Room

Rolling, tumbling, somersault
ten tin soldiers
come to a halt
Teddy sits
upon my lap
He is tired
and needs a nap
Katy hides
alone and worn
Betsy sits
tired and shorn
Tea cups
clutter a tiny shelf
years ago I made myself
dust lines
a flower relief
of a faded pink motif
filled with
memories, filled with
toys, filled with years
of tears and joys.
