From the first time I held you, my love started to grow
And I knew you were special, because God told me so
I watched you grow each day and learn
But, my love for you, you did not need to earn
For as a mother, I did vow to love my children every day
And to thank God for this precious gift of life as I pray
And so everyday, I'll tell you again
My love for you will never end
Though we may disagree, argue and fight
The bond of my love will always hold tight
When you stumble and make mistakes
Oh how a mother's heart does ache
And even in your darkest hour of fear
Always know, your mother's love is near

So, whatever today or tomorrow will bring
No matter how great your troubles may seem
If you shall fall, you can count on me to be there
To pick up the pieces of despair
And when you need love to feel secure
