Loss of innocence, what a shame
when the ones we trust betray us.
They have the power and control
and we are simply defenseless.
If we survive the pain and guilt
that is inflicted upon our soul,
then stronger people we will be.
The shame they bear will take its toll.
We must speak out against the ones
who hurt the young ones, it's their goal
to steal our sense of innocence
for reasons they have no control?
They go against the laws of life.
Purely selfish motives prevail,
but the young grow up, tell their tale
against the woes of those who failed
to protect them from harm and strife
against others who seek to offend.
Survivors we will all become!
It will never happen again!
