Lord, I’ve come so far
For one thing, one thing unsure
I hear people laughing on the bar
And they laugh out loud through the hole
Lord, send me a sentence
Why should I come here?
When will I find my existence?
How can I shed my tears?
Lord, I know You hear me
I know You’re there to guide me
Will I end up like a good melody?
Or just like a tornado blowing up a symphony?
Lord, I want to go home
To the place that I was born
To the peace that I was worn
To the flame that once was warm
Lord, I’ve come so far
For one thing, one thing unsure
I hear people laughing on the bar
And they laugh out loud through the hole
Lord, send me a sentence
Why should I come here?
When will I find my existence?
How can I shed my tears?
Lord, I know You hear me
I know You’re there to guide me
Will I end up like a good melody?
Or just like a tornado blowing up a symphony?
Lord, I want to go home
To the place that I was born
To the peace that I was worn
To the flame that once was warm
