Yep, the stuff you put on your strands to make it look amazing can have an impact on your whole bod. “The hair care products you use on your head can irritate the skin on your face , scalp, and body,” Charlene and Monique say. “We would recommend any shampoo free of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate and synthetic fragrance. Big bonus: If you color your hair we have found that sulfate free shampoos can prolong your color as they don't strip color from hair like shampoos formulated with sulfates.”

You might be using a cleanser that’s too harsh or a moisturizer that just isn’t right for y-o-u. “Look for any signs of redness, itching, excessive dryness, and or worsening acne flare ups,” Charlene and Monique confess. “These are all indications of irritation. Try waiting 15 minutes after you wash before applying medications and or applying the medications every other day. Everyone's skin reacts differently to products so you will need to experiment around to find what works for you.”
