What Is Tea Tree Oil

One of the most effective oils that is used for its significant medicinal properties is the tea tree oil. Its Latin name is Melaleuca Alternifolia and it is also known by the names of Melaleuca oil and Australian tea tree oil. It is grown widely in Australia. This oil is produced by the steam distillation of the leaves of the plant. The oil has remarkable medicinal values and is an effective cure for various health disorders. It can be blended with other essential oils and can be used to treat a wide range of disorders.

Tea Tree Oil Uses
Tea tree oil can be used to cure many problems. Tea tree oil is widely used in aromatherapy and also in daily use items like after shave, toothpaste, soaps, disinfectants, mouth wash, deodorants, etc. When used in Aromatherapy, it can be used to treat Skin Disorders (Abscess, acne, athlete's foot, blisters, burns, cold sores, dandruff, herpes, insect bites and oily skin), Respiratory Disorders (Asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, coughs, sinusitis, tuberculosis and whooping cough) and Immune Disorders (Colds, fever, flu, Chicken Pox).
