Ways to keep up energy levels at work
Feeling sluggish when at work? Here are ways to keep your energy levels going...
When in office, most of us get so comfortable in the cool air-conditioned room that we donít realise when we are thirsty. Dehydration can make you feel tired and doesnít only occur when out on the field. Sipping on sufficient amounts of water throughout the day is a must. Replace your soda and canned juice with water.
Instead of munching on unhealthy biscuits and chips, opt for apples, bananas, low-fat curds, cucumbers or even carrots. Granola bars are also a healthy option as they are packed with dry fruits and wholewheat cereal. Dry fruits like raisins, dried cranberries or apricots, almonds and even pistas make for ideal snacks.
Stay away from heavy foods
While we all like to indulge in a heavy packed lunch, it could be doing you more harm than you realise. Meals that include rice can make you sleepy and tired. If eating out, stick to a light wholesome salad and a quick sandwich or starter. Your sugary coffee could also make you sluggish and moody, instead opt for herbal tea.
