Loss of moisture in the skin of the lips causes dry chapped lips. It happens due to exposure to sun, cold and dry weather, repeated licking, nutritional deficiency and hormonal imbalances.

Apply coconut oil on your lips during winters because dry lips occur in a dry and cold atmosphere. It will cure dry lips instantly.

Don't lick your lips. Saliva evaporates quickly and digests the thin membrane protecting the lips, leaving them drier than before you licked them.
