Sun Damaged Skin Treatment | Repair Sun Damaged skin

A sunburn is a burn to living tissue, such as skin, which is produced by overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, commonly from the sun's rays. Usual mild symptoms in humans and animals include red or reddish skin that is hot to the touch, general fatigue, and mild dizziness. An excess of UV radiation can be life threatening in extreme cases. Exposure of the skin to lesser amounts of UV radiation will often produce a suntan.

Although most people love the warmth and light of the sun, too much sun exposure can significantly damage human skin. The sun's heat dries out areas of unprotected skin and depletes the skin's supply of natural lubricating oils. In addition, the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation can cause burning and long term changes in the skin's structure.

Overexposure to the sun's harmful rays may lead to sun damaged skin in some individuals. There are several possible symptoms of sun damage spanning from cosmetic blemishes to more serious conditions like skin cancer. Treatment for sun damaged skin depends on which symptoms are present.
