Nasal Congestion Remedies

The throat and nose are the gateway to the body of germs and allergens. To counter this, the inside of the nose has mucosal membranes lined with blood vessels. Nasal congestion occurs when these blood vessels swell resulting in the expansion of mucosal membrane due to germs or allergens. This block the air passage to some extent and so most of the breathing takes place from the mouth. In new born infants this makes it life threatening as they are capable of breathing only through the nose. There is a rapid secretion of mucus which clogs up the nose. Nasal congestion can also result in difficulty in hearing and talking. To help you treat your nasal congestion read the article below for home remedies for nasal congestion.
