Many Hollywood stars and dieticians recommend and vouch for the ‘lemon detox diet plan’. This diet plan cleanses the whole body, especially the colon, and assists in losing weight faster. This diet helps the body to get rid of any unwanted toxins present in the colon and the liver that are preventing the optimum performance of the body. The other name for this diet is ‘lemon cleanse’ and it is not expensive. The lemon detox diet usually cleanses the often clogged colons of that are not useful for the body. The clogged remains are nothing but the food residues from which the nutrients have already been absorbed and that has to be actually flushed out of the body. If these remains collect in the body, the body will start losing its capacity to digest properly and will lead to weight gain in a person. Lemon Detox Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cold Water
  • ½ Lemon juice (squeezed)
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup or any other organic syrup
  • 1 pinch of Pepper (crushed) or Ginger (ground)
Method:

  • Take4 oz of cold water in a glass.
  • Add the juice of half a lemon to it. Leave out the pulp and the seeds.
  • Add the maple or the organic syrup, crushed pepper or ground ginger to it.
  • Stir it nicely with the spoon.
  • Add the remaining 4oz of drinking water and again stir nicely.
  • Your lemon detox drink is ready.
You can consume this detox drink everyday for a minimum of six to eight times a day. You can notice good results within 14 days after starting this diet plan. Even though there are a number of health benefits associated with the lemon detox diet, make sure you consult your physician if you have any health related issues or if you are under some medication.

Tips To Bear In Mind:


  • The water you drink should be ice cold as it helps in the detoxification process.
  • Use fresh lime, freshly crushed pepper or ground ginger.
  • You may feel quite weak or tired for the first few days of the diet as your body is getting rid of unwanted toxins and fat. So, take ample rest and do not strain yourself too much.
