The only maryada a sikh is to follow is dat wich d guru's gave us in d form of the Guru Granth. D gurus nvr wrote any rehat-maryada
dat is seperate from d guru-granth. What U kno as Sikh Rehat Maryada is a committee work. A committee of british lyalists was
formed by the British to write dat text. The British left a legacy dat has eaten away at d intellect n character of Sikhism.
D british did everything to alter Sikhism as it existed so as ensure it conformed to their new British Raj-accommodating perception.
Max Arthur Macauliffe, who is regarded today by many western Sikhs as being a great scholar and historian wrote :
‘It is admitted that a knowledge of the religions of the people of India is a desideratum for the British officials who administer its

D main objective of d british was to inculcate loyalty within Sikhs for the British Raj.
Now Pakistan does d same to inculcate loyalty within Sikhs towards Pakistan.

British knew how Loyal Sikhs were to their Religion and their way of life. The British knew that the Sikh people will never betray their Guru's, are loyal to their code of conduct, and these types of people are credible people. The Sikhs will never betray the British because the Sikhs are people of higher value and morals. Even the current sikh rehat maryada doesn't say "Thou shall love British" It emphasise to be a better Sikh
We know British have tried to do many wrong things in Sikhsim intially, but they had very minimum success.
First being was Maharaja Duleep Singh (at the age of 14) conversion to Christianity. So did all Sikh accepted Christ? NO..
Maharaja Duleep Singh was re-initiated to Sikhi later on.

The preface you have shown is poorly written. But yes we Sikhs know what British have tried to do...but to say they were successful in their manipulations. They were not.
After many failures, the British knew Sikhs cannot be changed. M.A. Macauliffe job was to construct the bridge between the British and Sikhs...so the Sikhs accept British as their Friends...not enemy. It was very important for British to have Sikhs on their side.

Give me a solid proof of Bindrawala and Pakistan connection. It was only after the Hindu Government attacked Sikh Shrines all over Punjab and butchered Sikhs on the streets of New Delhi that the Sikhs militancy movement started. ISI is not to blame if your own house in not in order. Wouldn't Indian RAW jump on this sort of Golden Opportunity in Pakistan? you bet they will. N why, till abt 6 yrs ago d rehat maryada accepted even mona's as sikh till it was changed.
With every new committee ther is some change in d rehat maryada.
