</td></tr> <tr> <td> Sikhpoint.com is here again to shed some light on the path to attain purity of mind and soul as defined by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji through our regular Satire. This time, we are focusing on those ignorant Gursikhs who without giving any attention to what Guru Sahibaan preached, are continuously falling prey to so-called 'Superstitions and Ritualism' propagated by 'Biparwaad'.

</td></tr> <tr> <td>
</td></tr> <tr> <td> Even today, in the modern age of science and technology, evading all teachings of Gurus, some Gursikhs practice the ill superstition that a woman who has recently given birth to a baby is impure for some time and she can not be allowed to cook food for anybody. Further, some Sikh families treat some animals, food or other material as impure without any logical reason. This is purely against what The House of Guru Nanak and 'Sikh Rehat Maryada' teaches us.
</td></tr> <tr> <td>
</td></tr> <tr> <td class="details" align="justify">By allowing ourselves to put faith in these evil and fake practices, we are only deceiving our Guru. It is a sad state for Sikhism that some of its sons and daughters are following - not Sikhi, but some superficial beliefs. Though some of us would like to put the blame on the Indian social setup and the superstitions entwined finely onto it, but still we can not deny the fact that we are directed to use our own mind and wisdom in this situation by our Ten Gurus and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. - </td></tr> <tr> <td>
</td></tr> <tr> <td>
Fire, air and water are polluted. The food which is eaten is polluted. The actions of those who do not worship the Lord are polluted. Attuned to the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the mind becomes immaculate.)
</td></tr> <tr> <td>
</td></tr> <tr> <td> This anserine behavior is much unacceptable on the part of a Gursikh, who has inherited a rich and logical philosophy from Guru Sahibaan.
