Sikh Entrepreneur Stands up for a Noble Cause

The importunate of hate crimes on our globe, leave a blot on the face of humanity that is said to be the best religion. Hate Crimes showcase a negative aspect of the humanity. Most of them stem off of religious and ethnic biases especially those committed In United States.

Latest example of hate crime is witnessed at Wisconsin Sikh Temple, US. This dishonest and unlawful act by the white supremacist has an indelible and unforgettable impact not only on the kith and kin of the victims but also on the renowned entrepreneur Gurbaksh Chahal’s soul. Gurbaksh Singh himself was the victim of discrimination for several years.

He immediately started an organization namly, “Be Proud foundation”, providing a platform for common people to unite together as a single community to eradicate the intimidating tumor. “We all are little different and we should be proud of what makes us unique”, he said.
Many are persuaded by his Idea, including a great legion of Young Indians. The main purpose of the foundation is to raise the spirit of victims, who are shattered by hate crimes, ignite spark of love in them and most of all spreading the message of brotherhood and humanity. It is not for the betterment of any single community rather, it is greater than any religion, culture, nationality or appearance. The sole aim is to foster relationships amongst human being. The movement is currently scheduled to launch on 2nd of November 2012 at the Sikh Arts Film Festival Gala. Prominent people like Ajay Bhanga (CEO of Mastercard) and Sant Chatwal (Dream Hotels and close to Obama/Clinton) will be attending the premier of the ad campaign.

For being part of this, one has to tweet @Beproud #EndHate or like the page on Facebook. Chahal himself has invested $1 million on this noble cause. Deepak Chopra, Sir Ben Kingsley, Lisa Ray, Jay Sean, Kabir Bedi, Gurinder Chadha, RDB and Priyanka Chopra have joined hands with Chahal, for this gracious purpose.

Gurbaksh Chahal is a renowned Punjabi- American Internet Entrepreneur. At the very young age of 16, he started his company, Clickagents. It was aptly called the first ad network focused around performance based advertising. He sold it for $40 million. Then in Jan2004, he set up his another company BlueLithium. It was counted among 100 private companies in America for subsequent 3 years. In 2007, it was acquired by Yahoo. He is also known as a best-selling author. His autobiography is still captivating the audience.
