its disheartening to hear Sardar jokes from a sikh.
ek mera south-indian frnd dasda si ke ohda college-mate sardar si, te oh har roz sab nu ik sardar joke sunaunda si. ek din usne kutte wala koi joke sunaya te ohnu fer sarre ohdo to kutta sardar kehan lag paye.
I was laughing, he asked me the reason. I said i m glad to hear that he is named kutta singh.
After a while, I asked him how would he feel if I make mockery of south-indian names, he was quiet. I told him to think why his sikh friend was telling sikh jokes everyday coz he was knowing if not he someone else will shoot a joke. Its better to shoot itself and make it look more embarassing.

lack of knowledge , jadh sanu ap nu hi apni history barrea gyan nahi , nahi ptah sanu ke eh sardari free ch nahi ayee, sirran de mulh dekke eh sardari ayee hai nakkea bodi bnakea badh ch sarrean de kesh ktal karwon walea bhamna wangu, jinha nea apnea kesh katal karate jinda rehn wastea, search history from when the hindus started getting thier hair cuts not only hindus search for muslims , chritians , andmany more , every one of them lost thier respect, and now they laugh on sardar(sikh) , what a shame on them . Ask them why they done hair cut ?

just imagine a situation, you/me/any other sardar in a totally different country, people dont know us,our history, our pride, our struggle,no nothing, still they are fitting sardars in their jokes. people may point fingers and tell their kids "there goes a sucker".what shuld a sardar do then?
print media used to have great power, but electric media is far more ahead.
in the end its us who need to wake up.
on a slightly different note, it is the same forum where we can see a member banned because he posted some bania joke.
adding more to that we live in a country which has a special law(indian penal code 295)still whole country is turning their right to free speech into right to free insult.
i have nothing against anybody, i am just another sardar, pardon if i said something wrong.

i am not too good at words, neither want to start any fight,and why pathan jokes, crack some sardar jokes(they are),
its already happening with us, delhi, mumbai many kids have taken the no jura way, just because of these jokes.
three sardar kids in a class, whole class rolling laughing on the floor, the joke "sardar tay suar de bachay chotay he sohnay lagday".(and yes, i was there, most embarrassing moment in my life)
even santa banta were brainchilds of Khushwant Singh.
look at our own history,
je sikh nu sikh na mary ta sikh kade na hary.many examples, we already have had enough from our own brothers.
