Nam - the Divine Name ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Nam is the support of all beings, Nam is the support of the whole universe. Nam is repeated to call upon the Nami, to realise the Nami. Nam unites the Nam-Lewa with the Nami. Nam unites the devotee with the Lord. Nam cements the bond, the true relationship of the worshipper with the Worshipped.
Divine Name of the Lord is "Gagan Mayee Sangeet", is the 'Celestial Song of the Universe'. It is the 'Cosmic Music'. It is the enrapturing 'Melody of the Soul'.
In this 'NAM KE JAHAJ' Sri Guru Granth Sahib, all the Ragas in wonderful unison sing the Glory of this Divine Name in soulful melodies. In cosmic harmony and universal love, this cosmic music envelops the whole creation in its holy rhythm.
There is nothing in this world which can measure equal to the value of the Divine Name.
The whole of movable and immovable creation have emerged from the power of Nam. The whole creation including the elements of Nature are held together by the Power of Nam. All the universes stand projected and are held together by the Power of Nam.
The Lord and His Name are identical. They are one. Divine Name is the most potent support in this Kalyug. Remembrance of the Divine Name delivered the greatest sinners in a moment.
Nam is the Wish Yielding Tree (Parjat) and Kaam Dhain (Cow).
Nam should be remembered, practiced and meditated upon, all the time, in any posture while standing, sitting or sleeping. Haumain (I Ego) and the Divine Name
cannot co-exist because :

Pure mind is a reflection of inner glory; an Eternal Melody rings within. Nam and Divine Love throb in this holy temple. They reside within.
A pure mind starts reflecting the Atam, it starts reflecting the purity, the splendour and the bliss of the True Spirit, and then by itself becomes the source of Bliss and purity.
Atam is true Divine Abode of the mind. It is here that the Divine Presence thrills and fills one with Divine Ecstasy. Established in Atam one gets detached from the perishable body, mind and name complex.
Atam is the Holiest of the Holy Pilgrimage, Tirath. Dip and to bathe in Atam is the Real Truth. <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD width=60>

Mind of a Saint is a True Picture of God
Baba Narinder Singh Ji.

When Guru Takes over the Place of Mind, Soul becomes God.
Baba Narinder Singh Ji.

On the day of full moon (Pooranmashi) Parshad of the Divine Name was freely distributed to Lakhs. Sacred Paths of Holy Guru Granth Sahib were thus completed in thousands till the next Pooranmashi and the Holy practice repeated every month. Hindu and Muslim brothers yearningly joined and participated in the Holy Yag with the Divine Name of Ram and Allah respectively. Families including the men, women and children participated in the Sacred venture with zeal and dedication.

Use of Mala (Rosary) of 108 beads facilitates constant, sincere and progressive practice. For calculation only 100 beads have to be taken into account, eight beads being taken as allowance for errors.

Mental repetition and recitation of the Divine Name is far more rewarding than loud and silent repetition or recitation.

LITTLE KITTEN

Every breath which is flavoured with Nam, with devotion, with faith, is like a fragrant flower offered at the Lotus Feet of the Beloved Satguru and these flowers do not lose their freshness, flavour and charm and ultimately lead one to liberation.
The Time, the KAAL devours everything but it cannot lay claim to the breaths dyed with the Divine Name. Kaal has no access, no approach to the breaths so offered as fragrant flowers at the Holy Feet of Sri Guru Nanak Sahib.
This burning ocean of worldly existence can be crossed with the help of the Divine Name. One is inextricably caught up in strong and powerful whirlpools of 'I ego'. Only an egoless devotee firmly clasping the Holy Feet of Satguru can easily cross this dreadful Ocean of Mortality.
A blissful taste of the Divine Name extinguishes all worldly taste. Love of God swallows all worldly love and love of false attachments. Thirst, hunger of the Divine devours all worldly hunger and thirst.
True Lovers breathe in and breathe out the Divine Name only and in this constant holy remembrance, every activity of their becomes a piece of loving service to God.
Divine Name feeds the mind with true contentment and frees it from any taint and trace of worldly hunger. This is what the love of the Divine Name can achieve.
As the whole universe, the whole creation stands projected on the support of the Nam, I have taken refuge in that very Holy Name. My sole support, shelter and anchor is that Divine Name.
Mental recitation and repetition of the Divine Name does not let a single precious breath go waste. With sincere practice and Grace of the Satguru, mental absorption in the Holy Name continues unhampered and unbroken even when engaged in other unavoidable worldly activities.
Nam is my Protector, illuminator and Sustainer. It is my Light on the way to the Nami, to the Divine.
For a lover of the Divine Name, Nam is his food and therefore hunger does not trouble him, Nam is his eternal companion and he needs no other friends because he is never alone, Nam is his true shelter and he does not, therefore, seek any other shelter, Nam is his existence as he cannot live without Nam and Nam is his honour as he never cares for any worldly honour. Self-glorification is non-existent in a true lover of the Divine Name.
Concentrating and meditating on the Divine Name one forgets the existence of one's own name and meditating on the Luminous Form of the Lord, one forgets one's own body consciousness.
True association with the Divine Name and Divine Form will ultimately result in your dissociation from your own name, mind and body complex.

In true state of Prema, in true Love one forgets, one loses oneself in the Divine.
True love wells up in the heart. It is through this mighty current of love that true prayer flows to the Holy Feet of the Beloved Lord. Alongwith this powerful current of love, one flows in totality, thus forgetting and losing one's own individuality and identity in the Divine. <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD width=60>
