help me about this dilemma

I have a job interview coming up. It is for a nursing assistant position in a nursing home working with old people. I wear a dastaar and beard everyday. My mom says i should take it off for the interview. I plan on taking amrit in the future and over all i dont want to abandon my identity or faith. I know God is the only provider so i am hoping for the best. I would like to know what have other have done in the same situation or people's opinions on what i should do

why should juh take it off for interv.

B4 removing ur turban just for a minute remember shaeedi of 4 sahebzade, and remeber father of four sons who gave dere life just coz of us that we can tie turban with proud. There are 100000 of 1000000s singh who died for honor and respect of sikhi.

u r not the first one to get a job or go for an interview .....
i have also worked in big firms in india, UAE, Australia and seriously am telling u i never faced any issue due to my dastar and beard instead ppl respect me.....

I am really sorry but am disappointed with ur mom .... wats up with todays parents ....

I want to take amrit!! par mein bohot weak einsaan hain! Mere wich bohot kamjooriya ne!! par mein guru da larrh phar liya hai!! holi holi aapni kamjoor maatt Guru Granth Sahib de charnaa wich rakh ke Guru da putt baan jaana. I have started growing my hair/beard!

I am not sure, what is expected of the candidate in such interviews.........but My Personal Physician in US is a turbaned Sikh and he is employed at Kaiser Permanante (very big chain of hospitals in California, USA).

You can wear a gol dumalla or short turban, it will cover your hair and that is actually good as a hygiene concern
As far as facial hair is concerned, you can tie your beard or use gel etc.

I am working as a software engineer and when I went for my interview I was in gol dastar with open beard. I still go to work in 7.5 meter length dastar and open beard, since it is not a concern in my job.

Rest, ask this question from yourself and find answer yourself. Guru Maharaj mehar kare and you make right deciscion.

My personal opinion for you is Go in Dastar, be yourself.
If not this, you will get another interview chance somewhere else. On the contrary if you loose your Rehat and join this job then you might not get chance to maintain your rehat again; b'coz you will never be sure whether facility allows you to continue with turban & beard, or not.

I personally would have kicked the job if they want me to cut my hair for the same

and btw u r not yet ready for KHANDE DI PAHUL ,
becoz u r still in duchitti of whether u should cut ur hair or not
remember rehat is most important in KHANDE DI PAHUL
