ਧਨ ਸਿਖੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਤਾਜ ਸਾਹਿਬ "ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ" ਜੀ ਦੀ ਲਾਸਾਨੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਟ-ਕੋਟ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਂਮ।ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੰਪਰਾ ਦਾ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਹੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ 'ਤੇ ਅਸਹਿ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਝੱਲ ਕੇ ''ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀਆ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਗੈ llਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮਾਂਗੈll” ਦਾ ...ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿਤਾ । ਸੁਖਮਨੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਬਾਣੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਲਿਖੀ ਹੈ ਜੀ। ਆਓ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਬਣਾਈਏ। ਇਹ ਫੋਟੋ ਸਿਰਫ ਇਹ ਦਸਣ ਲੈ ਵਰਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ-- ਕੀ ਪਵਿਤਰ ਹਿਰਦੇ, ਪਵਿਤਰ ਸੋਚ ਤੇ ਸਚੇ ਸਿਦਕ ,ਸਚ ਲੈ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਮ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਸਦਾਂ ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਅੱਗ ਦਾ ਭੈ ਵੀ ਨਹੀ ਰਹੰਦਾ ।
Today 25th May, is the Shaheedi Gurpurab of Shaheeda de Sirtaj.. Dhan Dhan Shiri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj!! Please take 1 minute to read this... Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj...was given the death sentence for several different reasons...combined....(according to history, there are many different sources).. The main being that Maharaj helped the emperor's relative Khusrau during a rebellion. The other reasons noted are from Sikh AND non-Sikh sources. They paint the following picture.. whilst Maharaj was compiling the Siri Adi Granth Sahib...the moughal authorities...requested that Maharaj put a verse of the Quran in OR a praise of Mohammed...into the Siri Adi Granth Sahib......Maharaj declined both of these requests....thus was asked to pay a fine of nearly 2 lakh. A Sikh offered to pay the fine, but Maharaj declined that also. During this time, Maharaj was arrested and brought to Lahore. There they were imprisoned. They were asked to convert to Islam, they refused. The order was then given that Guru Arjan Dev Ji...be executed... this is something EVERY SIKH on the planet NEEDS to know. Guru Sahib was tortured in the following way... Maharaj was tied to a tree which had, had all its branches cut off...so there was no shade....they then had sand poured over their feet...and were kept in a open courtyard in the blistering heat...ALL DAY LONG...and they were not given any water to drink... This went on for a few days... During this time Maharaj did not ask for mercy, plead, cry or break down...they remained focused on Waheguru.... the order was then finally given that Guru Arjan Dev ji were to be seated on a hot iron plate whilst boiling sand would be poured over them. The THING everyone needs to note here is this.... During this barbaric torture, the 5th Master of the Sikhs....did Paath...they recited the following lines... Tera Kiya Meetha Lage, Har Naam Padarath Nanak Mange Your actions seem so sweet to me, O Lord, Nanak begs for the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord!! Maharaj after this torture, were then thrown into the river...... This is why in May/June every year Sikhs around the world would distribute ''COLD SWEET'' drinks to ALL passer bys in towns and cities around the world, in remembrance of the HOT tortures that were given to Guru Arajn Dev Ji....and how Maharaj accepted Gods will as SWEET to them and remained COOL!!
