Vegetable masala idli

Ingredients
  • 4 cup boiled rice
  • 1 cup urud dhal
  • 50 g peas
  • 50 g cauliflower
  • 2 big potatoes
  • 1 carrot
  • 200 g onions
  • 20 nos cashew nuts
  • 6 red chillies
  • 2 tsp Bengal gram
  • 1 bunch coriander leaves
  • 50 g ghee
  • 1/4 cup coconut grated
  • 1 tsp mustard seed
  • 1 tsp urud dhal
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • salt to taste
Directions
  1. Grind rice and urud dhal separately and then mix together ferment for 8 hours.
  2. cut potato,cauliflower and carrot to peas size and half boil the vegetables.
  3. cut onion in to small pieces.cut cashew nuts into small piees.
  4. grind coconut,fried gram,chillies and coriander leaves into fine paste like chutney.
  5. Heat 3 tsp ghee in a pan saute mustard seed and urud dhall for 2 minutes till fry.
  6. Add curry leaves,tomato,onion,cashew nuts,boiled vegetable and saute for few minutes till soft.
  7. Add ground ingredients to the batter, mix thoroughly cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  8. Then pour the mixes batter into the idli moulds, steam cook and serve hot.
