Shrimp (Prepared and Fried the easy way)
2 pounds shrimp (cleaned and deveined)
1 tsp seasoned salt (Tony Chachere's)
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup flour
Last ingredient - 1 cup crushed ice and water
Put the flour, sugar, seasonings, and egg in a 2 quart bowl.
Fill a 1 cup container with crushed ice and fill with water. Pour over flour mixture and mix well.
You make this several hours before you fry the shrimp. When this is mixed, add the seasoned shrimp. Mixture will look like pancake batter.
Some ice chips may remain, but that's ok. Put in refrigerator. When it's time to fry the shrimp, using a fork, just pick them up one by one and deep fry in hot oil. When brown and they float, they are done. Remember the longer they stay in icebox the better they are. The colder the better.
(Preparation time does not include peeling the shrimp).
