Rich Bread & Butter Pudding

Ingredients:
25 slices - bread (preferably a day old)
60 g - clarified butter
230 g - granulated sugar
570 ml - milk
4 - eggs
1/2 cup - chopped almonds
1 1/2 tsp - vanilla essence
1 tsp - cinnamon power For the Sauce:
110 g - melted butter
50 g - castor sugar
6 - eggs
1 tsp - vanilla essence
Method
25 slices - bread (preferably a day old)
60 g - clarified butter
230 g - granulated sugar
570 ml - milk

1/2 cup - chopped almonds

1 tsp - cinnamon power For the Sauce:
110 g - melted butter
50 g - castor sugar
6 - eggs
1 tsp - vanilla essence
Method
- Line a baking dish and place bread on it. In a bowl, mix sugar, eggs, milk, cinnamon powder and vanilla essence.
- Pour this mixture over the bread slices and press with a spatula so that the bread gets soaked.
- Top with chopped almonds.
- Add to the clarified butter and press until the chopped almonds also gets soaked.
- Bake at 180°C for an hour or so.
- Add sugar to the melted butter and cook over low flame until sugar dissolves.
- Do not allow it to turn brown.
- Beat eggs and add vanilla essence. Add the egg mixture.
- Cut pudding and pour sauce. Serve hot.
