Ribbon Pakora


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 1 cup gramdhal flour(kadalai mavu)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida powder
  • 1 tsp white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp salt or needed
  • 1/2 cup refined oil
  • 1/2 cup or needed water

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients except oil to make a stiff fine dough.
  2. Divide the dough into lemon-size balls. Roll it out into small thin chapathis .
  3. Take a knife and cut the chapathis to 4 long strips and then into each piece of 2 inch length.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan and deep-fry the packoras till golden brown on both sides.
  5. Serve hot at teatime or store in an airtight container.
