Punjabi Roasted Mutton
•Boneless mutton,cut into 2 inch pieces 750 grams
•Raw papaya paste 1 tablespoon
•Ginger paste 1 tablespoon
•Garlic paste 1 tablespoon
•Coriander powder 1 1/2 tablespoons
•Garam masala powder 1 tablespoon
•Crushed black peppercorns 1 teaspoon
•Red chilli paste 2 tablespoons
•Malt vinegar 3 tablespoons
•Mustard oil 3 tablespoons + for greasing
•Potatoes,halved 2 medium
•Onions,cut into wedges 2 medium
•Salt to taste
Preheat the oven at 180° C. Lightly pound mutton pieces and transfer them in a bowl. Add papaya paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, coriander powder, garam masala powder, crushed black peppercorns, red chilli paste, vinegar, mustard oil and mix well. Add potatoes, onions and salt and mix well.
Grease an aluminium tray with mustard oil and spread the mutton mixture on it.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Transfer on to a serving plate and serve hot.
