Potato Cheese Roll

- 6 large Potato
- 2 cups boiled peas
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 4 tbsp cornflour
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 small sticks cinnamon
- 2 cloves
- 1 tsp green chilli paste
- 2 tbsp grated cheese
- salt to taste
- bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp ghee
- oil for frying
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup plain flour (maida)
- Boil the potato with the skin until soft. Remove the skin and mash well. Add the lemon juice, cornflour and salt.
For the stuffing - Heat the ghee in a frying pan. Fry the cumin seeds for a minute. Add the cinnamon and cloves.
- Add the peas, green chilli paste, salt and grated cheese.
- Cool the mixture until dry.
- Take a little potato dough, pat it lightly. Add the stuffing and seal the sides.
- Repeat with the remaining potato dough and stuffing.
- Mix the plain flour in the water and drop the stuffed potato in it.
- Remove and roll in the bread crumbs and deep fry until golden.
- Serve hot.
