Potato Cheese Roll

Ingredients
  • 6 large Potato
  • 2 cups boiled peas
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 small sticks cinnamon
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 tsp green chilli paste
  • 2 tbsp grated cheese
  • salt to taste
  • bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • oil for frying
For the dipping batter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup plain flour (maida)
Directions
  1. Boil the potato with the skin until soft. Remove the skin and mash well. Add the lemon juice, cornflour and salt.
    For the stuffing
  2. Heat the ghee in a frying pan. Fry the cumin seeds for a minute. Add the cinnamon and cloves.
  3. Add the peas, green chilli paste, salt and grated cheese.
  4. Cool the mixture until dry.
  5. Take a little potato dough, pat it lightly. Add the stuffing and seal the sides.
  6. Repeat with the remaining potato dough and stuffing.
  7. Mix the plain flour in the water and drop the stuffed potato in it.
  8. Remove and roll in the bread crumbs and deep fry until golden.
  9. Serve hot.
