Talking Peas Paratha

Wheat flour/ Poori pindi 3 cups
Green peas 1 cup
Green chillies 5
Onions 1
Salt to taste
Oil as required

Method of preparation:
Soak green peas overnight
Cook until 3 whistles in a pressure cooker and grind it into paste.
Alternatively you can use frozen green peas.
If using frozen green peas, wash thoroughly and follow the below steps.
Remove stems and chop green chillies into halves.
Chop onion into long slices.
Fry chopped onions in a tsp of oil until they become soft and then add chopped green chillies.
(Add washed frozen peas at this stage before grinding into smooth paste.)
Fry for few seconds and then grind these fried green chillies and onion into smooth paste adding water as needed.
Knead wheat flour, ground green peas paste, ground green chilli onion paste and salt into soft dough using cold water.
Divide the kneaded dough into big lemon sized balls.
Roll out each portion into 10 inch sized discs sprinkling wheat flour when needed.
Add a drop of oil on the disc. Fold into semi-circle.
Add one more drop of oil now and fold again that resembles a flat cone.
Now roll it again into triangular shaped parathas.
Heat flat pan. When it becomes hot, place a traingular paratha.
Cook one side of paratha until u see little bubbles underneath.
Turn on other side, add little oil to first cooked side.
After few seconds, turn and add little oil to second cooked side.
Serve hot with plain yogurt.
