Non-Veg Lemon Chilli Fish with Kurmura

Ingredients

Basa fish fillets cut into 1 inch pieces:- 2
Puffed rice (kurmura):- 2 cups
Juice of :-1 lemon
Green chillies:- 3-4
Oil:- 2-3 teaspoons + 2 tablespoons
Onion finely chopped:- 1 medium
Turmeric powder:- 1/4 teaspoon
Red chilli powder:- 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Curry leaves:- 15-18
Red capsicum:- 1 medium
Coriander powder:- 1 teaspoon
Castor sugar:- 2-3 teaspoons
Micro shoots for garnishing

Method

Step 1
Heat 2-3 tsps oil in a non-stick pan.

Step 2
Heat 2 tbsps oil in another non-stick pan, add onion and sauté till lightly browned.

Step 3
Finely chop green chillies.

Step 4
Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder to the first pan. Add puffed rice and salt and mix well.

Step 5
Add curry leaves to the onion in the second pan and mix well. Add green chillies and mix well.

Step 6
Roughly chop red capsicum and add to the first pan.

Step 7
Add salt and coriander powder to the second pan and mix well. Add fish pieces and lemon juice and mix well. Cover and cook till the fish is done.

Step 8
Add castor sugar to the puffed rice and mix well.

Step 9
Remove the lid on the second pan and mix well.

Step 10
Put half the puffed rice mixture on a serving plate, top with cooked fish, cover with remaining puffed rice, garnish with micro shoots and serve immediately.
