Recipe Cast Iron Baked Apple cake

Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp soda
2 tsp cinnamon
2 sticks margarine (16 tblsp)
1 cup walnuts
1 cup apples chopped
2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla (mexican vanilla is the best)
2 eggs
4 tbsp buttermilk

Directions
Mix all ingredients together. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. This cake turns out best when baked in a cast iron skillet. The cast iron skillet creates a little bit of crusty outershell, much like cornbread baked this way. This cake is great with a hot cup of coffee, cold milk and good company!!
